Construction Port a Potties Dallas

Specialized Port-a-Potties for Construction

It takes a very special kind of person to become immersed in the construction industry. The work, often, accompanies merciless weather conditions – from scorching heat and high humidity to bone-chilling cold temperatures that make man and beast want to hibernate till spring.

Thankfully, there are hearty, robust individuals who take the bull by the horns and the weather in stride as they get their construction assignments completed in every type of weather condition – assignments that always face a critical deadline. The success of a construction assignment and the success of a construction company depend on the efficiency of the workers, involved. And believe it or not, this has much to do with port-a-potties on site that are easily accessible, at any time.

Back in the 1940's...

The catalyst that catapulted the port-a-potty prototype was the astuteness of a 1940's California shipyard supervisor. He observed the immense amount of lost time his workers were generating by having to use a mainland restroom every time bathroom needs would arise. His bright idea: construct 'portable toilets' on the shipyard construction site, close to the workers. The end result: the prototypes of 80 years ago were crude but they were effective with providing an immediate relief station for workers. Just as importantly, lost time due to bathroom visits trickled down to a fraction of what it had been. As they say, Necessity is the mother of invention!

Specialized Construction Port-a-potties Cater to Needs

Regardless of where construction sites might be located, you will find construction port-a-potties or portable restrooms that cater to the particular setting. And just like the California shipyard port-a-potties, the portable versions of today's units enhance work efficiency due to their proximity. Take, for example:

1. High-Rise Construction Port-a-Potties – Many construction workers perform their talents multiple stories above ground-level. Taking time to get back on ground to use a port-a-potty, however, would be a waste of valuable time. The innovative solution: high-rise port-a-potties, of course! These mobile compartments are, easily, raised by lifting hoists attached to mammoth cranes. The air-borne port-a-potties can be, safely, maneuvered to any floor of a building and left in place as long as necessary. Specialized smaller units, such as these, can be positioned through doorways and into freight elevators – spaces where typical port-a-potties would not fit. Workers don't go to the port-a-potties – the port-a-potties come to them!

2. High-Rise Construction Rolling Port-a-Potties – The high-rise construction port-a-potties mentioned, above, can be modified to become even more accommodating for high-rise projects. Several modified features include: 1) smaller floor size with smaller tank 2) reduced height to fit tighter spaces 3) a partial door and/or open top to allow for a reduced size and increased ease of maneuverability and 4) heavy-duty casters that offer maximized mobility into the smallest of spaces.

3. Road-Bridge-and-Tunnel Construction Port-a-Potties – Most of us, usually, think of construction port-a-potties as being positioned on the construction site for months, until the construction project is completed. Some construction workers, however, are on the move as they build or repair roads, bridges, tunnels, and other types of infrastructure. In these situations, port-a-potties are placed on top of vehicles that stay with and/or follow the construction crew, day by day.

4. Long-Term On-Site Construction Trailers – Often times, construction supervisors will include large construction trailer restrooms for their personal use that offer the same amount of comfort and privacy their at-home bathrooms provide. Flushing toilets, sinks with running water, and temperature-controlled interiors offer user experiences that are optimally comfortable and enjoyable.

In some instances, a single construction restroom trailer will hold two or more portable toilets placed in a strategic location to ensure all workers have easy, quick, convenient access to a portable restroom, at all times.

As a side-note: When construction port-a-potties and portable restrooms are regularly cleaned and stocked by our maintenance personnel, you can be assured of hospital-grade sanitation to keep your employees not just happier, but healthier! With COVID-19, this is more important than ever before!
