Portable Toilets Are Misunderstood

(Here's the 'Scoop on the Poop')

Most of have been guilty of it at one time, or anther: we've believed the notion that portable toilets are unsanitary, smelly and costly. In reality, none of those misunderstandings are true; and, below, you will find some very interesting insight to support just the opposite concerning portable toilets that have, traditionally, been given a bad wrap. Portable toilets really are unsung heroes; and here's why:

Myth-Buster #1: Portable Toilets are Clean and Germ-Controlled

Many believe portable toilets are unsanitary and smelly – Since portable toilets do not rely on traditional plumbing systems, the waste is managed in an environmentally safe and hygienic manner. Specialized deodorizing chemicals perform a double-duty with cleansing – they deodorize and sanitize. The plumbing components in portable toilets are out-of-sight; and waste tanks are sealed to trap and hold odors.

Fortunately, enhanced methods of managing odors and waste with portable toilets have progressed over the years. For example, non-formaldehyde-based deodorizers are used for cleaniing; and these scientifically-researched solutions contain 'biocides' which don't just mask smells, they keep the odor-causing bacteria from excessively multiplying. Just as with traditional bathrooms in one's home, flushing toilets and sinks with soap and running water are available in luxury restroom trailers which keep germs to a minimum and help to keep interiors clean-smelling. Even more-basic portable toilets have on-board sanitizers.

Here is some very surprising insight fro the US Environmental Protection Agency: a number of everyday items harbor more germs than the average portable toilet: kitchen sponges, phones, computer key-boards, money, and dirty laundry!

Myth-Buster #2: Portable Toilets Cater to ANY-sized Event

Many believe portable toilets are for large events, only – Concerts, seasonal festivals, carnivals, sports events, and other large gatherings that draw in mass crowds use portable toilets to offer convenience and hygienic solutions for large numbers of people. But, even, smaller events can be enhanced with portable toilets discreetly placed, on-site. Family reunions, corporate picnics, neighborhood block parties, pool/birthday parties etc, are ideal opportunities for portable toilets to provide the comfort and convenience they are known for. Even with smaller gatherings, offering one or more portable toilets saves on the wear-and-tear a host's home can, otherwise, experience due to food & drink spills, constant foot traffic etc.

An event that caters to 1,000 attendees or one that caters to several dozen guests will run more smoothly with portable toilets in place that provide the convenience, safety and cleanliness guests will thoroughly appreciate!

Myth-Buster #3: Portable Toilets are Eco-Friendly

Many believe portable toilets harm the environment – If truth be known, portable toilets are more eco

friendly than traditional, interior bathrooms. Portable toilets cause, absolutely, no harm to the environment; and they use a mere fraction of the amount of water compared to a typical, indoor restroom. A port-a-potty, for example, utilizes 90% less water than a regular toilet. Here is an interesting side-note from the Portable Sanitation Association International: 45 billion gallons of water are saved, annually, simply through port-a-potty usage!

Many port-a-potties are sanitized with 'go green' cleaners that do not contain formaldehyde nor alcohol; and cleaning products, tank deodorizers and air-fresheners are non-toxic, as well. Also, reputable companies in the personal-sanitation industry practice correct disposal measures. They follow strict guidelines as set forth by OSHA, the Bureau of Land Management and others to ensure the health of the environment is maintained.

Myth Buster #4: Portable Toilet Rentals are Affordable

Many believe portable toilets are expensive to rent – There are many models of portable toilets which cater to the most conservative budget. If one were planning an event that would draw in large numbers – such as as a farmers' market or car show, for example – more people remain longer if even the most-basic portable toilets are readily available. More people staying longer means more time for attendees to purchase more products or services; and in the end, that can translate into increased sales which could off-set any portable toilet rental cost.

Myth Buster #5: Portable Toilets Fit Into the Most Sophisticated Events

Many believe portable toilets are not well suited for upscale gatherings – Nothing could be further from the truth. The sophistication of an event such as an outdoor wedding would never be compromised with luxury restroom trailers to accommodate every VIP. The amenities embedded in top-tier portable toilets are impressive and include flushing commodes, sinks with running water, private stalls, AC & heat (for any season), usage-indicator lights, lovely cabinetry, streamlined exteriors, spacious/tastefully-decorated interiors, and more.

Luxury restroom trailers are exquisite and classy, and can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 10 users, simultaneously. Women's and men's entrances are separate; and with these stunning facilities, users feel right at home with comfort, security and a good dose of pampering. Luxury restroom trailers, simply, must be seen to be truly appreciated!
